I too received the same phone call this morning, the man on the phone had a middle eastern accent and insisted that i owe his company $250.00 and if i did not pay i was going to be subpenaed to court so he could sue me for $4000.00, i persisted to ask him his name, supervisor name, company name, address etc. when i asked all he did was inturupt me and he hung up the phone when i mentioned the police. if you have any calls like this do not give them any information that they can use against you!
All the same except I'm in Canada, on a work supplied cell phone and none of the payday loan/debt/credit card scenarios apply so they are now phishing in the great white north.
i keep getting calls from a man by the names of mac davis saying he calling about a pay day loan i owe for 900.00 dollars i ask him to fax paper work it look like some type of scam he keeps calling my job the numberhe calls from is 347-394-2070 i just thank god i look up pcs in on line i would have lost 900.00
This company is calling stating that I am in legal trouble and need to call another man. When asked what in reference too ,they refused to tell me. When asked why I hadn't been notified by mail, no explanation. I said I didn't believe them, they threatened me with legal proceedings. I have done NOTHING!! I called the # back and asked what the hell they were doing and they began threatening me more and said I would be sorry for not listening to them. Scam artists I'm sure of it!!!!!!!
Got a call from this number asking me to delete some files from my computer. said they were apart of geek support and windows. Most likely a phishing scam be aware of it.
Keep getting calls from this number and leaving messages that are incomplete. No company name is given, first part of message is cut off and then they want me to call them right away, making it sound like there's a problem with credit or something like that.
