Found a questionalble charge to this number on my Telus Bill. I don't recall calling this number or receiving a collect call from this number. I contacted Telus and they removed the charge, but they asked me to call Triton Global at 1-866-340-4990 to inquire about it. I called Triton, went through their menus but could only leave a message to call me back. Still waiting....
Aha! Triton phoned me back. Apparently the charge is for when I called a toll free number (1-866-XXX-XXXX)that was no longer in service and was given the option to "press 1 for the new number". At that time (Nov. 2012) a fee for this service was not disclosed, but apparently now it will be announced that there is a fee for pressing 1. If I had known that there was a $4 fee I wouldn't have proceeded!
Found a charge to this number on my telus bil. Telus removed the charge and told me to call 1-866-340-4990. I did so and left my number for a call back but have heard nothing..
I got the charge too $3.99. How can we stop them? They may call again and charge us again. Where can we report this and stop them? I can't block the number with my phone carrier.
