my mom-in-law got a call from david phillips today. saying that i need to get a hold of him or im going to go to jail over so bad check ythat some stole from me over 2 yrs ago
I received the same call a few days ago. I called the guy back today and allegedly got David Phillips. He tried to tell me I wrote a bad check and was vbeing charged both criminal and civil liability. I asked him, whether a warrant for my arrest was issued. What he didn't know is I was just released from prison and I have a low tolerance for BS. He hangs up on me. When I call back, I allegedly get get David Lexington. David Lexington, who tells me they are David Phillips, David Lexington, Lewis West of Freeman & Freeman & Associates, after I tell them I've looked them up on the net.
Got the same call, same message, same number, same female voice on the answering machine. I tried reverse look up to find out where the call was coming from but got nowhere. When I googled the name, I found this site. I am sick of scammers.
I receive the same call from a David Lexington from the Law Offices of Freeman and Freeman, with the check fraud bit. He had my name and my SOS, and was phishing for information to narrow me down. He is calling you probably because he has nearly all your information already and just needs a little more to narrow it down to scam you. I have reported these false names, numbers and other information I got out of him to the State Police and Federal Trade Commision. Right now he is calling out of St. Louis, Missouri. Please call ASAP if you get this call and report immeidiatly.
I am David Phillips, Prosecuting Attorney for Union County, Ohio. I ran across this post in a Google search. First of all, I do not call and threaten litigation for check fraud nor does my office collect debts. I prosecute felony criminal cases, and only in my own jurisdiction in Ohio. If anyone calls and suggests otherwise, it is clearly a scam.
