"Claim" to be IRS "officer" with the number 3475590378 and that my name and SS# is involved in a pending tax criminal case. Barely spoke english and only seem to have my name and phone number and nothing else. Told me to to call 877-395-4886. Don't believe these guys! SCAMMERS
This number called my home phone. A cellular number is what the caller ID States. To call this number 1-866-341-3140. The gentleman calling states that a report of tax evasion or tax fraud has been filed in your name and to call this number before it goes before the federal court system and I am arrested by the local sheriffs. When I returned the call I asked to whom am I speaking? The person say I am not giving you my name. Both the message on my phone from a man of middle eastern decent as was the woman who answered the return call. I know it to be a scam. They ask for the name of the person calling. Huge zero from me. I asked the name of the company and they hung up and would not take returned calls from me. Scam Alert.
the new tactic is to have you call an 800 no. as if you block your caller ID they can still see your no. on the toll free 800 no. line. the 800 no on the voice mail is 866 978 6807......DONT CALL THE HTOLL FREE NO. ALSO THESE ARE PUNJABI GUYS FROM INDIA. I THREW SOME ABUSIVE WORDS IN PUNJABI AT HIM AND HE STARTED BARKING IN PUNJABI......SON OF GUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It is been 3 days this number been showing on my Caller ID. Yesterday (03/28/), I went to the local IRS office
and I was told it is a scam that they do not speak or send message in a threatening way.
