Got a call and voice mail @ 10:20 today from unknown number. Left automated voicemail that IRS is filing suit on me and left this number to call back: 347-708-0070. I never answer unknown numbers, but this one actually left a voicemail which is troubling as they must figure you are more apt to call them back.
Just got home with this urgent call of final notice from IRS....do we people think we are stupid but feel sorry for those who believe them...they should be locked up and have the key thrown away...going to report this to my police department.
Received a call on my cell phone 3/25/15 at 10:56 am CST. Caller ID said "Unknown" so I ignored it. They left an automated voice mail message stating that this was the final official notice that the IRS would be filing a lawsuit against me and that I needed to call 347-708-0070. A few things: the IRS doesn't call people. If there's a problem, they'll notify them in writing. Second, the caller didn't even attempt to identify me by name (as in "Mrs. Bee, the IRS is suing you."). Third, notification of impending lawsuit usually requires confirmation of receipt (certified mail or being served by a law enforcement profession are just two examples). Fourth, why would the IRS file suit without determining whether or not I owe them money? Shouldn't they audit first? I could go on an on....
We got a call on our voice mail today saying the IRS was going to sue us. Caller ID just said out of area. We were supposed to call 347-708-0070 but number was busy so could not read them a riot act. If they call again will do so.
