just called me telling me he was with Microsoft and that my computer had viruses. Microsoft does not call you. when i said "this is a scam", he screamed at me "this is not a scam". told him not to call again, and he screamed "oh, i will call again". What an [***].
I was almost scammed by a fake comcast company 2 weeks ago. A call from John Kendall came in tonight but when I picked up they didn't say anything then went dead. But, after reading the above, I filed a complaint with the caller registry. All my phones are registered to deny this type of phone soliciting. I told the registry in my email that I'd read here they are pitching services and claim to be a certified service group, but they may be connected to that comcast flim flam one I fell into 2 weeks ago. If you have registered for 'no calls' from unsolicited sales, etc., file a complaint. Or, register (it's easy) and if they call back file a complaint. Anything to try to stop these people.
They called my home phone. Caller ID shows ACS V Expans.....1-347-753-9068. The guy had a thick accent; sounds Indian. He said he was from Microsoft and my computer has a virus. I knew it was a scam the moment he said that. I told him we have a virus checker, but he was relentless in trying to convince me that he needs to fix it. Told him 'no' and asked for a # where I can call them instead. He gave an 800#-214-****which I'm not going to put on here as it was indeed another scam. I anonymously (blocked my #) tried calling back--yeah, I know...curiosity killed the cat! It was a recorded female voice that appears to be an adult/porn company. I hung-up immediately! Obviously, these idiots are a bunch of hacks. What company in their right minds would still employ telemarketers and CS agents from India?!! Every time I hear that accent on the phone, it is almost ALWAYS just a scam.
