I had the same phone call yesterday by a very rude lady. She asked for an owner or controller in an investigation. I said it was a private residence. She hung up...The number was blocked so I could not trace it. I just was kinda freaked on it. I am glad to see that this is nothing but a scam and will pass it along..
Some lady called numerous times claiming that I had ordered tacos ("You order tacos?") She insisted that I ordered tacos and that the order totaled $40 and she was willing to take cash. When I told her the name of the company, she agreed that was the name, and that yes, I had indeed ordered tacos. When I told I didn't, she insisted that I did. I told her that if she did deliver them, I would not accept delivery. I then hung up on her. They continued to call every 2-3 minutes for the next 10 minutes. The women had a middle-eastern accent.
called at 4;46p.m. she asked for the owner or accounts receivable. Asked you I was speaking to, she said she was Nicole and she was with the same company as stated in other emails. Asked who it was that she was looking for - by name - she couldn't tell me. Told her the offices were closed and I hung up on her. When I dialed the number back - a recording said that it was a non-working number. So why doesn't the Do Not Call list work with idiots like this?
would not leave a name or call back #. Assured me that call was regarding collections. I do all the bookkeeping for this small business of mine. Reporting it to the Attorney Gen. Office for the State of California.

This company is a fraud. They said I had a payday loan, that I owed. I asked for them to mail me proof of the debt.I received the run around, on all the reasons that they couldn't do that. Then I was transferred to the "supervisor". He repeatedly stated he couldn't mail me any information regarding the debt. That I would just receive my summons for court.
I told him if he couldn't provide any proof, then that the call was a fraud and that he was wasting my time.
VERY uneducated people at this place. "Tom Miller" and "John Williams" thought by citing false legal codes would intimidate me. Not even close...but I do know that the phone call actually came from a "Richard Howard" in a residential area in Texas.
