Not quite standard English: "this is IRS" (instead of "this is THE IRS") and "IRS filing lawsuit" (instead of "IRS filing A lawsuit"). I recognized this is a scam because the IRS uses only the mail for communication--my wife prepares taxes for a living and has done so for over 2 decades.
Got the call 3/24/15. Said this is IRS & to consider this my final notice, I should call back about a lawsuit being filed against me. I did not call back. Wish someone could stop these calls!
Got a call on my ans machine today from "IRS we have been trying to reach you, this is our final call. We are going to file a lawsuit against you. Call 360-205-3728." Really? The real IRS sends endless, scary, somewhat vague letters in the postal mail.
Received this same call, my interest peeked and I did call, got a woman (accent,Pakistani or Indian) I asked what it was about, she asked me for the phone number put me on hold and came back with my name and address.I asked what this was all about again and then she said the IRS was suing me for tax evasion and fraud. I said that is not true, silence on the other end then I asked to speak to a supervisor, I was put on hold and in my head I pretend I was listening to the Jeopardy music and here comes the best part I'm disconnected. WOW, so now I'm madder than a hornet and tried calling back several times and get busy, no answer or the person you are trying to reach is not answering. No kidding! Called the IRS and they told me that there have been a lot of reports about this caller and they are dealing with the issue. They said that if I haven't suffered a financial loss I can go to the website and file a complaint, you bet I will be doing that. These idiots have to be stopped!
