Got a call on my ans machine today from "IRS we have been trying to reach you, this is our final call. We are going to file a lawsuit against you. Call 360-205-3728."
I called back and a Gentleman (accent ,Pakistani or Indian) ask me if I am
willing to pay the Amount of $6,986.73, if not, I have to go to Court in Washington, to settle my claim.
Is this a scam?????
Indian people that can't speak English! Said that He is agent # HS2050296 and that I have been audited and owe$$$ and that I need to pay them now. Tried to have fun with him by asking where he was calling from and I wanted to see the documents. The said the new law stated that they can't send them anymore.
I like to waste their time as much as I can. He caught on and hung up.

Maybe, they called me too, but I don't answer phone numbers I don't recognize, so...I don't know...
knew it was a scam but wanted to check - I am not going to call even to harass them as they will then know that they got through and this is a good number for other scams.
IRS does everything in writing - they do not call - in the letter they will give you an toll free number to call if you have questions.
I am going to contact the IRS as these guys need to be shut down - this number should be blocked from all calls and they should track these thieves down and string them up
This is a scam robot call saying it is the IRS and they are filing a lawsuit against you. Interesting it came just after I filed my taxes. They must be linked to the IRS by a computer hacker. It is a SCAM! Do not call them back!
