Do consider getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $40.00 or so.If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number.
We received a call from a caller claiming to be the IRS. They left a recorded message that said that the IRS is suing us and this is a final notice and we need to call they back at 360-450-0205. I am not going to call them back.
Just got a call from this number 360-450-0205 pretending to be the IRS. Said I had a numerical mistake and owe $2986.73 and if I hung up there would be an arrest warrant put out for me.
Got a robocall from 3604500205 pretending to be IRS and wanting to file suit. They do not identify the called at all. My prior experience with the IRS is that they send written correspondence with their question. If this were email, I would say it was a phishing expedition.
The 800 number will offer you www.tigta.gov which is part if the IRS IG department. They offer this because the rate of scam call incidence is so high.
