Just got a call from these scumbags on my CELL PHONE for which I PAY for every minute. A robocall asking if I want to lower my interest rate. NO!!!! I don't pay interest, I NEVER gave my cell phone number out to any company, and (although it is supposedly not necessary), it is on the DNC list.
For what it's worth, the FCC and FTC will get my complaint. Not that it will do any good, but if these gov't agencies are inundated with reports, maybe for their own self-preservation they will take some action to shut down (fine, and jail) these God-forsaken bottom-feeders.
I'd like to personally prosecute these swindlers for the MONEY they cost me (at 10000x actual damages). There. I feel better now.
If you call the no. back it won't answer, you press 1 to be taken off the list and it doens't help. You tell a live person that answers the phone and they hang up onyou
Cell call came first as a recording, telling me I can get my interest lowered, that I "am not in danger" at this time. I waited, pressed '1', then got some fella. I told hime that I am on the national 'do not call' list and that 'you people' should stop immediately. He started complaining to me that I was a racist. He never identified his race either by accent. Then after he yelled at me, he hung up.
