# called to lower my interest rate... when i pressed 1 to speak to someone, i asked to be removed from calling list.... man said r u pregnant...... and then hung up... it is a spoof call... beware and provide no information...
They just called my cell phone. Didn't recognize the number so didn't answer. Thank you to everyone here posting about it being a telescam. Will report to Do Not Call even though they do nothing to stop these scammers and telemarketers.
My elderly parents have the same problem. Two thngs that can be done:
1. Call your phone carrier as I did and demand they put a "blocked numbers list" in the phone system.
2. Until #1 is done, tweet the calling telemarketers # on twitter, put it on facebook, etc. and ask people to call them to select the opt out. When enough people call, maybe it will overload their lines.
