same jerks that have been calling me for the past two years.....scam artist scum making money off innocent folks who give away their information.  what vile people these are.....

Yeh ,... they just tried me, too. It's gotten so I can SMELL scummy scam creeps before I even have to pick up the receiver. This scumbag, though, is sneaky cuz they rigged it so that a legitmate looking company name shows up on caller ID.

Got another call from these SCAMMERS.  I have taken a new approach to them.  The longer we keep them on the line the less time they have to call others.  So, as an example, the last time I got a call from some of the scumb bags, I talked nice to them (Never giving them any useful info, ie card no. etc.) and when she ask me to get my latest statement to verify the interest rate, I told her that I would have to go get it.  And ask if she would hold on, she replied that she would.  I laid the phone down and went to the kitchen and had a nice conversation with my wife, did a little picking up of things laying around the house.  Then picked up the phone and asked if she was still there, she was.  I stated that i was having trouble finding the statement, but would looking again and she should hold on.  Spent another 15 minutes doing things around the house, walked out in the yard and finally went back and told her I could not find it.  After another 10 minutes of conversation, I finally upset her enough that she hung up on me.  At this point, I had never given any info about card no, etc.

I guess the best thing would be to just lay the phone down and never go back.

Love Jerry's approach, but I like to get off the phone quickly and on with my life. Sooo, I pick up the phone, wait about 4 seconds for the scuzzball to be on the line and then hang up.  They're on an
automatic dial system and don't call back for at least a couple of days.  Ahhhh....peace and quiet!
If there are more calls, they go on my wonderful "selected call rejection service."  Best inventin - ever!

This telephone number belongs to Pacific Telecom Communications Group.  They are a public utility who's business involves facilitating telemarketing calls, a possible violation of 16 C.F.R. §310.3(b) of the Federal Telemarketing Sales Rule.
