On July 26, 2012, I got a call from this number. It registered on my caller ID as "Financial Ctr." I did not answer the phone. On today's date, August 15, 2012, I received another call from "Financial Ctr." except this time the number was 503-457-1407. I answered this call. The recording said that this is my final courtesy call to lower my credit card rate to 6%; all I need is $3,000 in credit card debt and one card in good standing. It also said they have tried to contact me several times and that this is my final call for my yearly credit card review.
The automated recording did not give a key to press to be removed from their list; It said "Press 1 if you are interested in lowering your credit card debt..." So I pressed 1 and got a woman who said "So i understand you are interested in lowering your credit card payments?" I said, "No, but I understand I want to be removed from your call list." Before I could finish my sentence, she hung up on me!
If you get a call from "Financial Ctr" on your caller ID, DO NOT ANSWER!
I have done this several times already and every time they hang up on me. How am I to get off this list!???
Received a call this morning at 10:44 am. After the recorded message, I pressed 1 to talk with a person. When I asked the name of the company, he hung up on me.
We got this call on 7/24/12. It said it was a "Financial Ctr". No message. We have gotten this call in the past. Good thing for Voice Mail and Call Screening. Can you imagine not having that and having to pick up the phone every time it ringsm and one of these Douches call and be subjected to this?
We should sue these scammers for the cost of the Call Screening!
This company calls at least once a month. Most of the time I luckily miss the call and my machine picks up the recording. The last two times, I have waited to talk to someone and request they remove my number from thier list and they hang up on me. Not that it will do much good, I am writting down the info to report to the "do not call" website.
card services scam. They say it is their last chance in contacting me, but said that same thing for 3 years now. They call from about 20 different phone numbers. no way to get them to stop calling. Just mess with them and waste their time, they waste ours.
