On July 26, 2012, I got a call from this number. It registered on my caller ID as "Financial Ctr." I did not answer the phone. On today's date, August 15, 2012, I received another call from "Financial Ctr." except this time the number was 503-457-1407. I answered this call. The recording said that this is my final courtesy call to lower my credit card rate to 6%; all I need is $3,000 in credit card debt and one card in good standing. It also said they have tried to contact me several times and that this is my final call for my yearly credit card review.
The automated recording did not give a key to press to be removed from their list; It said "Press 1 if you are interested in lowering your credit card debt..." So I pressed 1 and got a woman who said "So i understand you are interested in lowering your credit card payments?" I said, "No, but I understand I want to be removed from your call list." Before I could finish my sentence, she hung up on me!
If you get a call from "Financial Ctr" on your caller ID, DO NOT ANSWER!
I have done this several times already and every time they hang up on me. How am I to get off this list!???
Got a recorded message demanding that I take action to lower my credit interest rate flyer they repeatedly mailed me information and I have refused to reply or take action. Number is listed to "Financial Ctr". I hung up before the message ended.
This dumb f**ks called me again today. They don't realize that I have a Cisco VOIP phone and can see who is calling me. I don't pick up the phone for numbers I don't recognize. 3rd telemarketer I didn't pick the phone up for today. Retards.
I've been getting junk calls from these guys for a while.
They have just increased the "urgency" in their automated message. It now says something like "This is your final notification before we close your credit card account file." (Notice how the word 'file' changes the meaning???) "We have made numerous attempts to contact you about this urgent matter...." (Sounds like a bill collector, doesn't it?) Then it goes on with other really urgent sounding stuff about how your credit is in danger unless you press "1" now to deal with this vital message.
Less than a minute after you hang up on them, the phone rings again, sometimes with a live person, sometimes with the same call.
Caller ID lists Arlington, WA. Calling their number yields ringing phone, finally answered with the announcement: "Thank you for calling back. You have received a marketing call from a commercial entity. Press "1" at any time to be removed from this list."
I pressed "1" and was thanked and told to have a nice day.
We'll see if they keep calling or not......
