Jerry's BRILLIANT idea that I was replying to is as follows:

The longer we keep them on the line the less time they have to call others.  So, I talked nice to them (Never giving them any useful info, ie card no. etc.) and when she ask me to get my latest statement to verify the interest rate, I told her that I would have to go get it.  And ask if she would hold on, she replied that she would.  I laid the phone down and went to the kitchen and had a nice conversation with my wife, did a little picking up of things laying around the house.  Then picked up the phone and asked if she was still there, she was.  I stated that i was having trouble finding the statement, but would looking again and she should hold on.  Spent another 15 minutes doing things around the house, walked out in the yard and finally went back and told her I could not find it.  After another 10 minutes of conversation, I finally upset her enough that she hung up on me.  At this point, I had never given any info about card no, etc.

Let's all start "looking for our statements"    ;-)

will not answer if I do not know number. I am on do not call list so if they continue to harrass me I am going to report them  Had enough of this kind of call.

They called today with a recorded message to get lower interest rate at 6% but you had to owe at least $3,000.  For fun I stayed on line and talked to real ((?) person and they asked if i would like to take advantage of their offer; told them no, I want them to remove our number at which point they hung up. Rude and scamming people.
