They're still doing this - they've been calling me daily for a few weeks, I'm on the do not call list, like they care. SEO Services of Orange County is what they told me. (Latest call 3:44pm Pacific/Cascadian Standard Time, Thursday, 5 November.)
Recording called and said they were calling on behalf of Google, Yahoo, and Bing. I went through the prompts and then got to a person, only would give me his first name and then asked me for mine. I did not give it to him. I asked him who does he work for, he said, "google, yahoo, and bing." I asked him what does his company do? He said data services. I said what is your companies name? He hung up! Caller ID said, Port Angeles Washington.
They called me at 10:08 AM PDT on 17 July 2015. Caller ID said "CUST SRVC". The pre-recorded call mentioned Google, Yahoo, and Bing and kept talking about a problem with my account (which I do not have with any of them) and how my customers would not get to my site, etc. etc. etc. Press 1 to get to a person, press 9 to remove from list. I hung up without pressing anything.
My phone number is listed in one of my .com domain registrations. There is no way to know if this is where they got it. (Most of my domain registrations are "private", but this one cannot be private.)
