Man with thick accent tells me I have a warrant for my arrest and am being investigated for tax fraud. He hung up as soon as I told him I couldn't understand him.
I wonder if this guy knows there's a whole website page dedicated to him and his fraudulent activities. I'm somewhat disappointed if there has been no legal action taken to try to find this guy and stop him.
I worry about things like this with my mother, she's in her 70s now and maybe fooled.
They are scammers asking people for money to pay IRS debt. They threat you with an arrest order being in place and they try you to go to a CVS and they will give you further instructions of how to make the payment. There is one thing for sure: the IRS would never contact you that way and if you owe them any money, they will get into an agreetment for payment all by written official mail.
Call, not legitimate. They left a message with no specific name. They just stated "it's very important that you call them back today regarding a case against you". Instead of contacting them, I chose to do research on their number and I found this site. Thank you! Please be aware of this scam.
