Just called the # back, and it was sprint, my bill was past due and the payment i made on friday had not cleared my bank yet ...........they wanted no personal info from me, sent me a text confirming my call to them for a payment arrangement
Phone number 402-220-1561 contacted my parents home phone requesting me to pay a bill of $70 that is past due on my account, this past due amount is correct, however the bill that is it with isn't due on 1/23/2012. It said that if I did not immediately pay the past due amount my sprint cell phone would be disconnected in 48 hours. I hurried and jumped on my sprint account online and paid it..I did not use the phone serivce....I contacted sprint moments later and the rep told me that it WAS NOT a sprint number. I will be calling sprint again later today to verify that it is NOT sprint. Then tell them what happen. Sprint customers need to be aware if this is a scam...it asks you for your credit card and bank account information to pay the balance. Sprint would NOT do that.
This number calls me like 12 times in the last 3 months. It is a scam. The message is a little different each time, but they know the name of the person who use to have this phone number. I receive a lot of fraud and scam calls on this phone because of the last person who used this phone number... always some new scam asking for the same person. Thanks Michael for dragging my new phone number through the gutter before relinquishing it to me. Do not give them info, and do not call them back. If you're worried about your bill, go online or go to a Sprint store to fix it.
TOTAL SCAM. Don't believe the comments here that pretend it's just a reminder from Sprint. They're trying to get money from you, or personal details. Call Sprint, never call some random number.
