I had the same problem today. They even called my employer and told them they were issuing a warrant if they didnot hear from me. Threaten to have me arrested, etc. I told them I did not recognize the loan .
Received a phone call from a rude gentleman treating to have a warrant put out for a loan that i never took out. And with old info from 8 years ago. Really.
Here is what u can do. Get all the company's information, write it down, tell them that they need to send the debt collection notice in the mail. Ask for there fax number. If u have sent information to the FTC but haven't gotten anything back, send them something in the mail about it.
There should be no need to ask them to send anything in the mail. It is required by law. Why would you need their fax number? Everything you send to them should be sent certified, return receipt US mail. That way they can't say that they never got it.

I can find no business registration in Georgia or Bizapedia for a company with that exact name. That would mean that they are not legally allowed to do business.

Federal law (FDCPA) requires them to send you a letter (US MAIL ONLY) within 5 days of their first contact that contains their name, physical address, the creditor’s name, and the amount of the alleged debt. It also must contains “mini-Miranda” telling you that it is an attempt to collect a debt and that all information will be used for those purposes. The one other important thing that this letter must also have in it is that you have a right to dispute the debt within 30 days of receipt of the letter and if you do so, all collection activity must be stopped until the debt is verified.
