just answered a call from this # as i was reading what others had posted. they asked to talk to parents of my high school age daughter said she had attended a college prep class or gone on a scholarship website and i told him she had not done such a thing. he asked me if i wanted to be placed on a do not call list and seemed very nice about it but we will see..... they have been calling for the past week a couple times a day so we will see if the calls stop.
Keeps calling, each time i try to answer to ask to have me removed from mailing list they hang up. When you try to call the number back the line gets disconnected
I received a call from this number. When I began asking questions about how they knew that I had a child taking the PSATs. He said that my child checked that he would like to learn more about how to take the PSAT/SAT/ACT. I listened to him and then told him that I needed to discuss this with my husband and then he asked me if I thought this was a scam. That sure makes me think this is a scam! Whether or not it's a scam, no one should have the right to call and ask us if we care about our child's future.
My daughter is 22. It has nothing to do with PSAT's or anything else, it's just another phone scam that the Do Not Call list can't seem to do anything about. I tried to call the number back (didn't answer because I didn't recognize the number) and it doesn't ring through. I filed a complaint on the Do Not Call website. Urge people to do the same. Inundate the website with phone calls like this. Even if they don't do anything about it, which it appears they don't, it will jam up their website. Maybe someday this so-called helpful government agency will do something about it. But probably not.
