just answered a call from this # as i was reading what others had posted. they asked to talk to parents of my high school age daughter said she had attended a college prep class or gone on a scholarship website and i told him she had not done such a thing. he asked me if i wanted to be placed on a do not call list and seemed very nice about it but we will see..... they have been calling for the past week a couple times a day so we will see if the calls stop.
I just received a call asking for my late husband (who passed more than 6 years ago). After many questions on my part, I figured out they were looking for my step-daughter. She has NEVER lived at this address or phone number, and in fact, lives in another state, more than 800 miles away! They had her name incorrect (used her maiden name) and said she had inquired about help for her 16 year old son, which I know for a fact to be a lie. I KNOW this as my grandson at age 16, is already taking college level courses, and I have a pre-paid college plan in place for him, so no help either scholastically or financially has been requested. I think I really got this guy off his game, AND his script, and told him I was reporting him as my number was on the DO NOT CALL list, and that he better take my number off his list.
My son has never taken an SAT or ACT or PSAT, he has never requested help with his scores, yet I continue to receive phone calls from this company after repeatedly asking to be removed from their calling list. Sometimes they call, and when you answer, they don't even talk! I just got off the phone with them AGAIN and informed the man that I had requested to be removed from their calling list AND HE HUNG UP ON ME! I am getting very tired of this and will find a way to contact the Better Business Bureau about their tactics.
How funny! Just got this call but didn't answer. Looked here and saw the posts. My oldest is a sophomore in college on a full scholarship and youngest is in grammar school. No SATs here in the near future.
I don't even have any school age kids in school! Yet, these people call all day long! I eventually called the number back and you get a prompt "If you would like to be removed from our list, hit "1"...." I did som, but they continue to call. I think our Attorney General needs to get involved. They call from early morning to late evening - at least twice a day.
