just answered a call from this # as i was reading what others had posted. they asked to talk to parents of my high school age daughter said she had attended a college prep class or gone on a scholarship website and i told him she had not done such a thing. he asked me if i wanted to be placed on a do not call list and seemed very nice about it but we will see..... they have been calling for the past week a couple times a day so we will see if the calls stop.
I've been getting calls from 857-444-5692 for WS Learning Ctr. I haven't picked up because from reading everyone's comments, it does no good. I emailed 'do not call.gov' and filed a complaint. Maybe if lots of people contacted them they'd take notice. (Maybe!!)
Received several missed calls and finally answered call today 8/21/12 @ 4PM. Caller had my son's name and asked to speak with his Parent. Said my son has requested some info about CD Roms for SAT/ACT and wanted to go over that info with me. I told him to go ahead, he stated that he could send 5 CD Roms and it was guaranteed to increase his SAT by 200 pts and ACT by 4pts...Roms had sample tests and was overall a great program. I can receive the CD Roms for $189 and if I wasn't completely satisfied they would send a return label and I could return them within 30 days. When I told him to give me the website so I could check out what my son requested, he said he'd call back and hung up on me. I called the # back from called ID and got a message saying to speak with rep press 1 to remove my # from their calling post, press 2. I hit one to speak with a rep but never got anyone, just got a recording asking me to leave a return #. I left a message...sure it wasn't what they wanted to HEAR!!!!! I want to know how they are getting our children's names (full name at that).
