It is Charter. Initiate a chat session and ask them to be added to their do not call list. They will ask which opt out you prefer:
The following requests for Privacy can be honored:
• Do Not Call (includes no Customer Survey and no Customer Research)
• No Email (includes no marketing information from Charter)
• No Mail (includes no direct mailing, Door-to-Door and Direct Sales)
• No Third Party Sale (customer information is not sold to third parties)
• All Privacy (includes all of the above).
I chose All Privacy. They say it may take up to 30 days to go through.
I started receiving these calls a couple weeks ago.. ignored them at first since they never left a message, but the frequency increased to daily, all random times between like 9am-9pm.
I finally called the # back after a week of this annoyance and ya it was charter...
I hung up real quick so i could check online to ensure i wasn't like past due or anything... which i wasn't.. so i thought, whatever i'll just pick up next time they call.
So I picked up the phone and an automated voice put me on hold for a representative. WAH WAHHH
Finally a live person answered and i was speaking but of course she couldn't hear me! Now, i know there isn't something wrong with my speaker as haven't had any problems before or after that call, so after she impatiently asked 'hello??' a few times and i even more impatiently answered while ensuring my mic/speaker settings were enabled.. she said if i had questions to contact customer service at some other phone number.
No longer curious about the call, more frustrated, i forget about it and move on with my day. They call again a few hours later when i get to work. I answer, i hear clicky phone noises, and they hang up on me.
Ooooook....
They call again later on. I don't pick up cuz i'm working and they don't leave a message.
If this persists I will be calling charter to change the number they have on file to one that is NOT my own.
If the calls continue there after i will find the call center and set it on fire ! WHOS WITH ME!?
