I got a call from 404-895-5538. I didn't answer it.
I came here to check it out.
I have Comcast Phone, and you can go on your account and fwd up to 12 numbers to go to a different number. I send them to a non working number. :)
I just got another call from this number. They call all the time. This time I pressed 9 and got one of their operators. I told him I get calls from them all the time and he yelled "you don't get calls from us. You get calls from an automated dialer. You pressed 9 to get me. There is no *^%$^*)) do not call list!" and he hung up. This needs to be stopped.
In most companies of any size, they have an inbound phone system and an outbound phone system. Trying to call back to an outbound numbers leads to nowhere.
I received a phone call from this number today offering to lower credit card rates to below 9% APR. Out of curiosity I pressed 9 to at least hear what they were offering. After speaking with a person identifying herself as a customer account rep it became abundantly clear to me that this is a scam.
My four signs of a scam:
1.Pressure to act immediately.
2.An offer that sounds too good.
3.Unwillingness to provide details about the company such as full company name, address, call back phone numbers and names of the company executive officers.
4. Overly flattering
I keep getting calls from this number (404-895-5538), so I pressed 9 to speak to someone about removing my number. When I got someone, I told him that I wanted to remove my number and his response was "then you should have press 2 stupid" and hung up. Very rude and unprofessional. Oh how I wish I could get that idiot back on the phone or anyone from this company.
