Repeated calls from this number. They leave no message on the answering machine.
Today I answered, nobody was on the other end of the other call.
Like KLS posted above, we've received constant bombardment from ATT trying to get us to upgrade to U-Verse... they put full page ads in our monthly bill, send us weekly ads in the mail, now phonecalls?  I too have read complaints about the U-Verse system.
I believe there are laws stating that a company cannot suddenly discontinue mass communication systems like landlines and DSL, so I guess this is ATT's approach... badgering us into doing what they want?
Considering they lost a $100million lawsuit for Cramming charges and misleading billing, I'm not likely to trust them. Doubly so if they're outsourcing their customer service overseas.
I find myself wondering if they aren't deliberately creating problems on my lines to force us to switch to U-Verse.
Assuming this call is even actually from ATT and not being spoofed.
These phonecalls would be doubly poor judgement on the part of ATT because there have been a lot of phishing call complaints on here about people with foreign accents calling to say "we've detected a virus on your computer..."

I get the same ATT SVC. CTR. calls multiple times a eay and into the night.  What I can't understand is why
ATT doesn't  itself take this to the FCC or states attorney generals.  When they show my name and # on
the caller ID they are stealing my identity.  I can't believe with all the major problems we have in this
country why no federal agency is not prosecuting these scams.

I would never rely on the information that appears on caller id or in a message.

Sick of ATT
Got a call from ATT at this number... the first thing she says is "This is not a sales call..."
Well you know what, as far as I'm concerned it IS a sales call.
She states "there have been DSL problems in your area so we're calling about the possibility of migrating you over to our new system".
This would be the U-Verse system that ATT has been practically harassing us over for months with weekly mailings, full page ads that are part of our bill, and phonecalls that hang up on our answering machine or have nobody at the other end when you answer.
I explained to her that if there ARE "DSL problems in my area" that I assume the are coming from ATT itself, and I expect them to be FIXED, which I believe they are required to do by law.
I explained to her that after doing my homework on the situation after all the calls started, that I had no reason to believe anything I'm told over the phone and that they should send me something official IN WRITING stating clearly the COSTS and the reasons why I should consider doing this.
I told her that I wasn't mad at her, she was just doing her job, but I don't have much trust in ATT anymore and that the calls need to stop.
We still haven't forgotten the Cramming charges on our ATT phonebills that did not belong to us, the way the billing was presented, or the rude service we got while trying to rectify it.
I'd like to get away from ATT completely.
