My English not so good. This person wanted to know I need my DSL changed. I tell them NO, I was born a MALE I want to stay Male. If I change my mind I will move somewhere like LA or NYC where they do that sort of thing.
This is a spoofed number and while it is an AT&T number and may be used for legitimate business that does not mean that all these calls are legit. The caller attempts to convince you there is either a problem with your internet connection or that fraud or harassment has been reported coming from your computer. They attempt to have you give them your account and password information and have gone as far as asking for you to give them remote access to your computer. The call back number is held by AT&T but is a null number per AT&T.
Some guy told me that AT&T was no longer offering upgrades to their DSL and wanted to talk to me about my options, and that he wasn't trying to sell me anything. While I wasn't interested, I did let him go on just to see what he was carrying on about. At the end of his scripted prattle, he said that they could upgrade me to U-Verse, where upon I stopped him, and asked what that would cost. He told me. Then I mentioned that he said he wasn't trying to sell me anything. Then he said the funniest thing I've heard in ages.....he said he wasn't trying to sell me anything, he was just trying to upgrade me to a better product!!! Ya could have knocked me over with a feather! My stomach still hurts from laughing so hard. He asked what was so funny, and I told him I always laughed at a-holes!!!
Moron wanted my name, SSN, and address and get this.....my phone number! I could only laugh! I told him that HE called ME, so he obviously already HAS my phone number, and as for the other, the same applied. Then he said he just needed to confirm. I laughed again, and told him that since HE called ME, the phone number definitely works, and that he could bend over and shove his head where the sun doesn't shine!
Please......this number has been calling my house since 2013. This is a scam, and YOU are one of the scammers! I talked to MY AT&T customer service department and they informed me that there are NO plans to stop servicing DSL lines anywhere. Take your lying self elsewhere!
ATT SVC CTR. Now, considering I have AT&T, and I know they are scammers, which is why we have 800notes.com to report all these scam calls that AT&T could do something about, if they wanted to, but they don't because they are making money from it, I have no doubt this could be them. I'm not answering because I don't like them even if this is them. So I'm left with no other option but to say this is a scam phone company letting a scam call get through.
