My English not so good. This person wanted to know I need my DSL changed. I tell them NO, I was born a MALE I want to stay Male. If I change my mind I will move somewhere like LA or NYC where they do that sort of thing.
Just got the call, could hardly understand their English. As best I could tell they were having a personal emergency. Something about being stuck on a throne with no paper. Seems a little strange. I thought it might be Carmen wanting to talk about my credit.

Coincidentally, 2 calls came in from this number twice in the span of a few days, shortly after I had visited my local AT&T Store to take care of some issues with my wireless plan/bill. In the course of that visit, the sales rep tried to sell me on the U-Verse upgrade (supposedly better service for less $$)[1]; I told him I'd look into it & discuss with my SO (no hard-sell, at least). After I looked into it, I realized it would NOT be cost-effective for our household to switch -- once you get past the teaser rate, the cost is no less, if not more, for the same speeds!!
Sooo, I already had that knowledge in-hand when the call came in from the "AT&T Service Center". Thinking it might be some sort of customer satisfaction survey, I picked up. Female caller starts in with "This is not a sales call..." Suuure. Starts in with the spiel about an upgrade to my Internet service, yada, yada... Stop right there. NO thanks, NOT interested.

Either p***-poor telemarketing on the part of AT&T, or a phishing scam wherein the scammers have access to stuff in AT&T's databases.
[1] AT&T has been beseeching us via mail and e-mail for about 2 YEARS to "upgrade" to their U-Verse service. However, the service options in my small market are limited.
AT&T, Caller wanted me to Authorize a $#$ change. I told them I don't care what they do, but We don't do that sort of thing around here. What a bunch of perverts.
