"Reduced interest rates on your current account, press one now to speak to a live operator and reduce your rate or press nine to be removed from further notices"
I got 4 calls in a row from this number this morning starting at 9:15am. Phone rang 9 times each call and they called back to back only minutes part. Calls finally stopped only to start again at 1:00pm. Answering doesn't help.
I don't even HAVE a mastercard ... maybe they should invest in some better programs that actually gives them names of people that have mastercard credit cards. I've gotten 7 calls today from them. @@
This is a scam to get your credit card number from you along with other info that will allow them to get your cc info. They then make credit cards, which they sell to usually poor or foreign people with your info. For instance, here is a VISA card with $50 worth of value. Customer pays $50 and gets your number.
DO NOT GIVE ANY INFO
I asked them where they were calling from, answer was Maryland. I asked for an address and they hung up. Ask them questions: name of company, address, their name, phone number, etc. My guess is you will not get beyond question 1 before they hang up.
Twice this week I've rec'd the same recorded message. It starts by stating that this is not a "collection" call and "please don't hang up." That's when I hung up. Today I checked my caller ID for the number and am now adding my info to everyone else's.
