I am going to try (The other Jim's ) strategy, press #1 and give phony info,
Like the police stations address or state representative's also another phone #
for them to call, then maybe we can get some help. Keep offering suggestions.
Thanks to everyone. Aug. 3, 2011
I did press 1 to talk to a rep and she kept wanting me to verify my credit card limit with this company and she told me that I requested to lower my credit card rate which neither was true. I suspected that this is a scammer since the rep eventually hang up on me after me asking her more questions!
Just received a call this morning around8:35 AM EST. I pressed 1 just out of curiosity to find who might be calling. The rep. pretended to be from Lowes' Home Improvement and she indicated that she could lower my interest rate. She asked what my credit limit was and threw me a number which I indicated was incorrect. She gave me another number and when I attempted to ask more questions, she hung up on me. I suspected this is a Scammer whom might attempt to get personal information from receiver like me!
