Just got call from this number and hang up on them. Since they seem to be rather consistently using this number I'll add it to my address book with No Ring under "Junk call" so I won't answer it in the future. These guys are scammers!
Have been receiving calls and from this number also and did press #1 and a woman answered and when I said "Why are you calling me?", she hung up. I called the number back and got a recording telling me thanks for calling back and Press #1 for an operator or #2 to be removed from their list..BUT pressing #2 does absolutely nothing. As a matter of fact the recorded message telling you to press #2 never completes so a person never REALLY has a chance to press #2. Called AT&T and they advised me to go to www.ftc.gov and report the number to them via web. I am on the do not call list and have been for many years and AT&T says that is a direct violation of the law..Advise all people to report this number so they can be shut down.
Called this morning on my home phone which is on the national do not call list. I did not answer but came here. Thanks for the previous posts. It is great to be able to identify intruders. They phoned me at 0835 on August 5. I did not answer, no message left.
Must be crooks trying to get you to reveal your credit card details so they can steal from you. Unfortunately, there are naive people out there who fall for this sort of thing so it continues.
