I just called them trying to sell a photocopier, not much in the way of retaliation but to me it felt great. They did not need one so I told them i would call tomorrow and see if they had changed thier mind.
They call themselves "realtor referrals" or "Realtor refferal systems" ....not affiliated with NAR. They are a lead selling "company" they also fell that, according to their "owner" that in Montana, DNC rules do not apply to outgoing calls originating from that state. I was unaware of this "new" rule and...after the 5th call, have reported all of their calls to the FTC. I recommend that anyone else do the same. The number they called me on is on the DNC registry....they claim that they have some "super secret" exemption that only their attorneys know about. I guess I will wait and see what the FTC thinks about that.
Yes, I got the same calls. I think they said real estate referral corporation. Calimed they had a buyer for a property in my area and they needed a home immediately. Wanted be to pay them $99 for the phone number....NO THANKS. They guy (Steve) seemed like complete idiot to me. Told him not to call again as the number he called me on is a DNC registered number. He told me that Montana was exempt from DNC laws too. I thought every state was the same as DNC is a federal law? I reported them too when they called me back....3 MORE times. They said they could call whenever they wanted as they found the number on the internet....I DONT THINK SO. Somone needs to do a little reading up on DNC regulations....In the meantime, I will report them to the FTC every time they call.
I am a REALTOR in NC and they called me today, just before this post twice. Didnt answer, but I had a message from a Melissa from Real estate referral services, stating that they had a buyer for my area and if I was interested, to call back.
I am also a Realtor who received a message tonight from this number for a buyer lead in My area in Virginia. After reading all the responses here I think I'll pass. The message I received was from a Julie McDaniels who said she had a person named Margret who was looking to buy in Orange. She said to call her back at 406 532-3721. The number she called from was 406 329-7652
Seems as though "Kemo Jackson" is branching out. I, too, am a Realtor, working in central California. I just received a call from him this morning. I think we are all a bit tired of these "wonderful lead service" companies who just want some of our hard earned money. As a CRS who is currently specializing in REO properties, my name is on a lot of websites. I am getting a lot of calls from folks like "Kemo Jackson". His message asked me to return his call to a different number: 406-532-3713. I will report him, as I have others, to the FTC since my phone numbers are all on the DNC list. I have found that it is wise to check on numbers before returning the call.
