I just called them trying to sell a photocopier, not much in the way of retaliation but to me it felt great. They did not need one so I told them i would call tomorrow and see if they had changed thier mind.
I Recieved a call from a David Brewer who claimed he worked for an Agent out of Montana,(who used to be with Remax)and they provide a flat fee based referral network. When I asked for information in writing I was told that do not have their own website or email information to send out and that they use about 200 other websites to get their referral prospects. He was extremely ellusive when he was asked for information about his company. He would not answer yes or no questions directly and would try to turn the conversation to wanting my information to build a profile before he would discuss anything further. When I wouldn't play he got beligerent threatening to call another agent. My response was good luck! Another number that they use is 406-532-3738
This one said his name was Andy Edwards. He too said he was calling from Montana on the message he left. He didn't say a thing about real estate but guess what? I am an agent so I am confident that is why he was calling. NO THANKS!
"Kemo Jackson" called me today too! Just like all the others above ... same song and dance. Except now he's trying to put it off as "I'm looking for a real estate agent in the Austin area".
Just got the call on my message cenger this morning in Texas from Kemo Jackson: "I'm looking for an agent in the Plano are" blah, blah. Referral agents I work with give a lot more info about themselves than just that (e.g. I met you at a convention... or you know me from... etc.) So I was suspicious from the start.
Google his number 406-532-3713 and came straight to this page. FTC here I come.
