I received a call from this number stating they were an affiliate of Google and that if I wanted my business to be associated with their search engine directory to "press 1 now". Naturally I was smart enough to know better than to press any buttons not knowing where this phone number was coming from. Just answering the phone confirmed my existence so we'll see what happens now.
Caller ID: Verification FR. Called on 1/9 & 1/7 using two different phone numbers. Both calls came between 10-11am - guess they do not have any other numbers to call but mine. First call came from 253-248-6451 and second call today came from 406-540-1229. Do they really think people are going to answer? Imagine there continues to be a small percentage of unsuspecting people who answer the calls. Wish there was a way for outfits like this to be handed a hefty fine.
I keep getting phone calls from the number it is a computer saying that I can become debt free, it also says if i hit 2 my number will be removed after doing this several times I hit one to speak to someone, as soon as the man answered the phone, he asked if I was interested, as I went on to tell him to remove my phone number, He HUNG UP ON ME!! I am very mad about this and they still keep calling!!'
I want it to stop NOW!!
I am tired of getting calls from this company. When I answer it, no one is even on the line; and when I call it back it doesn't ring, and I don't get through to anyone. I'm guessing it's supposed to be a telemarketing call, as the Caller ID says it is from a company called Pacific Telecom.
Excellent, excellent work Todd.
I also find that no one at Pacific Telecom takes any phone calls - as if the CLEC itself is a bunch of crooks. I don't understand how an entire CLEC can hide from scrutiny.
Here is the complaint form to complain to the California Attorney General about Pacific Telecom Communications group both hiding from any scrutiny (like by having a phone number) and handing out phone numbers to these crooks:
