I received a call from this number stating they were an affiliate of Google and that if I wanted my business to be associated with their search engine directory to "press 1 now". Naturally I was smart enough to know better than to press any buttons not knowing where this phone number was coming from. Just answering the phone confirmed my existence so we'll see what happens now.
Don't press any buttons. It will make it worse. Call your tele carrier. Read my other notes re others same situation.Never give out any info. Never call back and if you can resist answering and have the option like I do to retrieve the # calling and the time, I do it that way and block them now. My friends will leave msgs--robo calls won't.
Theyt are not legit telemarketers as if they were, the do not call registry would kick in. I have called FTC/FCC and these are scammer/robo calls looking for info from you. Never giv e anything out.See my other notes on this site to others.Call your tele carrier and talk to them about blocking the #'s. i did that today and it is so easy(for me as I have Comcast) and I can do it each time I get one now.The test will be Thurs(tomorrow) to see if any have called as I now do not answer phone but press star69 to retrieve the # ands time. Then I will be blocking each and every one.
