I know this is a complete waste of time, as long as the phone companies are allowed to sell our # and info to anyone who is willing to pay, this type of abuse is going to continue. its a big money thing when you consider the number of gullible people out there, and for sure the Gov't isnt going to stop it. its too busy selling us out for themselves. i tried the complaint routes, attorney General and all of that, in the end it just dont work. its too easy for these thieves to get another # and stay in business. Its all about greed people.
I got the same message about lowering my interest rate. I pressed #1 out of curosity and they told me I had a $3500 balance on my card and wanted to know if I wanted to lower my interest rate.I told them I sure did not have a balance and they hung up.
This number called on my fax number today. I had my fax turned off so I called the number back. After looking it up on the web, I realized that they are trying to collect my personal info and that it is a scam.
