This robocall number will eventually lead to a return telephone call from a company which calls itself "Logic Solutions." They talked my wife into allowing them to charge $1200 to her credit card in order to lower her interest rate. When I cancelled the agreement, and pointed out to the company that they were violating the Do Not Call Registry rules, they claimed that by using an intervening robocall company (which was indisputably violating the law) that they are exempted from the Do Not Call rules. In other words, they think they can evade the Do Not Call rules by hiring another company to make robocalls calls for them, and then calling the "mark" back.
knew it was a scam the minute they started talking as I only have debit cards... no credit cards..the number is someone's cell phone in Big Tree Montana and I wasn't about to pay a scam sight to find out who it might or might not be registered to....
This is the second call I received from this number. The first time I was told they (whoever they were)could lower the interest rate on my Master Card to 6.9%. I asked them which Master Card since I have two, and they said the one with the highest balance. I then asked them the name of their company. The person on the phone said it so fast and low, that there was no way I could understand what he said. When I asked him to repeat the name, again he mumbled it, making it impossible to understand him. I then told him I'd deal with my bank direct if I wanted to change the interest rate, at which time he literally yelled at me "well, good luck dealing with the bank - you'll be calling us back". Obviously I haven't called them back, since they tried calling us again. We did not answer the second time. We have an answering machine and any legitimate company will leave a message - which they did not. That along with the caller making every effort the first time to make sure I couldn't understand him when I asked for the name of the company, definately screams SCAM.
