Call was to my mobile phone -- I picked up and said "hello" even though my caller ID said  "Circle, MT" -- after a few seconds the phone call terminated -- save me the need to hang up.   [Yes, I am on the do-not-call list --- which seems to be ignored.]

Here's a quick and dirty lesson that I've shared with several seniors who seem to be especially vulnerable to scams:

NEVER participate in a transaction (phone, in person, internet ....)  that YOU did not originate.
If, for example, some calls (or emails or whatever) claiming to be from your bank.  Thank them.  Ask them for the name and telephone number -- then hang up.  Then call your bank using the number that YOU have on file -- not the number they gave you.   Same with email -- DO NOT click on a link -- close your browser -- then log onto your account as you normally do.

Received a call saying from Montana..No message left..Wish they'd stop calling my cell..Yes, I'm on do not call registry but that's a joke also

Received a call from this number. Yes, I'm on the do not call list, still getting these calls! Reporting it anyway.
