This number has showed up several times on caller id with no message and no answer from the other end. This happens all times of the day and night. How can I stop these calls ???
I too get 407-441-7826 calls w/one ring & hangup. I also get similar calls from 800-567-6789 which ID's as Verizon Online DSL. I have a verizon tel. account, but nothing extra, certainly not DSL. It appears the the caller hearing one ring has no further desire to engage, thus, perhaps is looking for a busy signal and intends to differentiate between a tel. call and a computer connection. This leads to two thoughts: the caller is either conducting a survey to determine who is on dial-up as opposed to DSL, or the caller plans to insert a pop-up on your computer screemn offering a DSL account. Who knows? Perhaps this blurb may offer a little insight as to what may be occurring. Best to all!
I received the same call and message. Do a google search on 866-218-3885 and you will see another 407 are code number: 407-388-1070. Refers you to the same 866-218-3885 for further action.
It appears that this is a junk debt collector agency...I would avoid.
I have had an credit fraud issue in the past and I think it has reared its ugly head again. Actually was someone that used my SS # to open a Citibank account and then instantly defaulted after fully charging the card to its limit.
Based on other reports here, I have to agree that it is a junk debt collector...best to steer clear or let an attorney deal with it.
