I have experience ongoing harrassment with unwanted telephone calls. Averaging 3-4 per day. Tried call block, do not call list but still receive calls with hang ups from this same number.
These people are calling me 4-6 times per day, and sometimes late at night (I've taken to turning my phone off at night, which I don't like to do). They started at 1 or 2 calls per day, about a month ago, and have been increasing the number of calls since then.
Foreigner called about an account I had 7 years ago. Said he had my address and account info. He began yelling when I told him I had no idea what he was talking about and asked him what kind of account it was. He couldn't tell me what it was for... Hopefully he won't call back but something definitely needs to be done about him. It scares me that he has address, etc. information on so many people and their are so many people that may fall victim to this situation.
Recd call who asked if I was so & so. I advised that the middle initial was wrong, they must have the wrong #. caller then asked if i lived at a certain address in another city. I advised that i had never lived at that address, they had the wrong person. he then said this was about my acct with Ford Motor Credit. I advised that I had never owned a Ford and never had an accoutnof any kind with that company. Caller then said he needed my SSN to verify that I was the wrong person. I refused - told him he had the wrong person & that he had no business calling me. He continued to ask for personal info so I hung up.
