Got a call on my new cell phone, asking for someone else (not me). As this is a new phone, I have had a number of calls to my new phone all looking for the previous user of this phone number. I thought that this was just another one, but the call had been placed and dialed by an automated system. Whenn I answered, it said "all of our technitions are busy now...hold on for a representative". I thought that this was strange as they had called me!
I held for a minute and got a live person. I told them this was a wrong number, and he said he would take the number out of his system. When I asked who he was, he just said that it was personal business for the prior owner of my phone number, and would not give more inf.
I cant believe Im not the only one. This number called me 2 seconds ago and I have noooo idea who it is. I dont even pic up numbers I dont know. Next time Im going to pick up and I'll tell you guys what they "claim". Its been a long time since they've been calling, I wonder if I gave them my social or anything? What should I do If i did.
I too have had several calls from this number. I think something has to be done legally. Every time I try to do a check it comes back as Arch wireless holdings. I will report this to the consumer reports on the local tv station.
We started getting calls from this number today. They have called 5 times in the last two hours. The caller ID says Orlando, FL. We haven't picked up and they haven't left a message.
Have been receiving calls from this number. It has an automated response system thanking me for hanging on while they work with other customers. At this point I hang up. Not sure who the originator of the call is.
