I just got one of these calls today. Same story about a free nights stay at a Hilton in Manhattan or Orlando. I WORK for Hilton but have no idea what this call is about. Dont trust it. I am reporting it to Hilton today.
Have been receiving one call every day for the past three weeks from 407-722-3532. They always call late morning. I never pick up and they never leave a message. I recently updated my Hilton Honors profile so I guess that set it off.
My wife received a call from this # and it showed up as "Hilton." She jokingly got mad at me and said "who are you cheating on me with at the Hilton?" Then I remembered that we recently stayed at a Hampton on the way home from Florida and Hampton and Hilton are the same company. I have lost respect for them now. Can't even stay at a hotel without getting on a list. I feel bad for the guys out there who have their wives see "Hilton" on the caller ID. lol
After doing a little poking around on the web, it seems that this number is actually a cell phone number out of Orlando. Given the questions that they are asking I HIGHLY DOUBT that the people making these phone calls have anything to do with the Hilton Chain (however I am going to pursue my complaint with Hilton as well.) This is most likely a scam, if not one to get money out of you, to get information from you that they can enter into a list and then sell... something that would look like this.

Annual Income: C "Over 125,000"
Residence: Home Owners
A large enough list like that would be worth a lot of money out there in the scam market. And the company building that list probably feels protected as they aren't the ones perpetrating the scam.
As a word of warning.... never ever answer ANY question that someone who calls YOU is asking. And always thing to yourself "Why the hell would this company/person need to know that?" even if you are the one that called them.
