I just got one of these calls today. Same story about a free nights stay at a Hilton in Manhattan or Orlando. I WORK for Hilton but have no idea what this call is about. Dont trust it. I am reporting it to Hilton today.
Called my cell phone tonight and said they were from Hilton Vacations. Almost immediately asked for a credit card number to confirm my reservations. When denied, passed to another person and another with sweeter offers and more pressure. Odd, since I have not stayed at a Hilton in a couple of years.
I have also been receiving calls (1 per day for the last three days) from this number. I am glad I found this site as I did not know who it was and did not answer it. However, after reading one of the other posts, I realized I had done business with that company, Hilton Hotel Resorts, last year. Last year they had me on the phone about 20 minutes last year trying to get me to stay in their new resort in Las Vegas as they found out I was going. I am glad I did not take them up on their offer. It sounded good but then I heard from others who, in the long run, were taken.
I just called the number back. If you press 2 it will connect you to a representative that can remove your number from their list. She stated it will take about 72 hours to be removed.
They have called me three times in the last several days on my cell phone, but never leave a message. 407-722-3532. I am on the national do-not-call registry, also.
Hilton Grand Vacations. I just called the number back and told them I was on the do-not-call registry. They gave me a confirmation #1968005 and told me it would take 72 hours to remove it from their system.
