Just received a call from this number.It came up on my television screen. I never answer any calls that I'm not familiar with. No message left on my answering machine so assume that is not legitimate. It came up showing UTILITIES FL.
Oops there goes another phone number, Oops there goes another phone number, Oops there goes another phone number... Blocked!
For those who don't know, you can buy commercial phone systems now (example: Panasonic) that allow you to block any number without going through (and paying) your telephone service.
If however you have fairly new phones you can also buy (for less) a call blocking device. Many phones will only block 250 numbers. Scammers can fake their caller ID into the millions. A call blocker that will block numbers & area codes solves that problem. Another option.
Received a call from 407-830-1565. Caller ID said "Florida Call"
I answered -mainly so I could report on what their scam was- but heard nothing, which I guess indicates they are simultaneously ringing multiple phones and only answering the first one to pick up.
This is not a company I have dealt with and they do not have my permission to call me. I will report this to the FCC.
Sweetie, the DNC is a joke. The scammers have better technology than we do. If we reported every such call we'd lose more time than it takes to ignore a number we don't recognize.
