Just got a call from this number...automated recording...didn't press 9, hung up and blocked the number. I called Phonebusters and got a recording stating that they are aware of these calls. They also state that "pressing 9 does not open your phone to additional charges."
These jerks called me (in Sask) once before i told them to take me off calling list. Then on July 2, 2007 they called again. I pushed 9 to tell them once again and the guy was a perv saying nasty things to me and then telling my husband that he was going to kill him. I called the local RCMP and have pressed charges against the guy and the company!!!
These guys are something else. They have tried calling me (in Sask) before and i pressed 9 to tell them to take me off the list. So on July 2 they called again. I pressed 9 to tell them to stop calling here and the guy was a complete perv saying very sexually inappropiate things to me on the phone. I handed the phone to my husband and they continued to swear at him and then treatened to kill him. I contacted the local RCMP and am pressing charges against the guy and the company. SOMETHING NEEDS TO BE DONE!!!
I too just received a call. I don't answer my phone unless I recognize the caller, and I didn't recognize this number, so it went to my message service. I listened to the message but it was a hang up. Came online to Google the phone number and found this web site. I *57 the call, and if they call back, I'll *57 again. After 3 times I will report it as it will become harassment.
I really don't see what the RCMP can do here in Canada with trash located in Florida! Perhaps work with the TV media to help educate people about phone scams. I can see how the ederly could fall victim so easily.
