Anyone who receives such a communication should immediately print out a copy of this thread and go to your local police station and make a report. If enough people do this, they can at least have a press conference notifying the community of the problem.
This "paramedic" scumbag called my cell and said there was a wife or female relative that was unconscious from a car accident that had my cell listed as her emergency contact. My wife is out of town, so luckily I knew she was not on her way to Florida Hospital South. I had heard of a similar thing a few weeks ago from a colleague, so pressed him and asked why he was calling me. He said she was hurt real bad. Then I said, "And her name would be...?" He was onto me, and said "Elizabeth." WRONG ANSWER! I said no way, so he apologized for wasting my time with this and hung up. My wife got a similar call a few minutes later (her cell number is 10 numbers higher) where the guy claimed a male relative was in critical condition. He pushed her even harder, up to the point of screaming at her. She hung up on him and called me in hysterics. This person needs to leave our planet somehow!
my coworker just came up to me stating the same story as dave's story from yesterday 6/16/15 - she asked if there was any way to track a number and see who it was from . Thank God for Google because i typed in this number and this came up.. read this to her and she felt relieved but knew it was a scam because the guy on the phone couldn't give her any information about the male victim...

It then turned to them having my husband at gun point and would kill him if I didn't cooperate. The person hung up when I wouldn't give them any more information." Caller reported serious accident needed blood, identified person involved in accident. It was no one that I knew or could identify. The caller sounded like it was a bogus call which I did not fall for wanted blood. BEWARE!!!
Same as all above, someone called me identifying as EMT and saying that a woman was in a serious car accident, was in critical condition and lost a lot of blood. They said they found my number as an emergency contact on her and asked me to confirm her name and make model of the the car. I confirmed, and then they stated that they kidnapped my wife, hit her on the head with a gun because apparently she hit the guys son who is 16 on a motorcycle, and they needed 4000 dollars for the surgery for their son. They told me that if i called her, called the police, or called FBI, they would kill her, and told me to drive to the nearest Walmart and wire them 2000. After the 2000 dollars were confirmed as received, they would then take her to the nearest hospital. I hung up on them, and called 911, who confirmed this to be a scam, and then I confirmed wife was ok by calling her. I am reporting this number to Financial Crime unit in Orlando, and recommend all other to do the same to get these [***] shut down and put behind bars where they belong.
