I received a call from this number on my cell. I did not answer it. No message was left. I tried to call the number back and got a recording that the number was not in service. I googled it and found a link to this site.
We had a problem with a brand new battery. Did online chat with HP and they were going to send us out a new battery. They told us that we would get a call to get credit card info and such. Well that was last night today we get a call from this number. I never answer if I don't recognize the caller. I figured I better jump on line and see who was calling. After reading posts we contacted HP directly (online) and were given a phone number to call. Once I got through the STUPID computer voice, I wound up speeking to an acctual person with an actual american sounding voice. He was extreamly helpful and told me they have gotten complaints about this number. He was able to take care of everything so that I don't need to deal with the 408 number. I would never give my number to somone that hasn't proven to me they are who they say they are and why cooperate with outsourcing. Call HP directly and make them help you. If nothing else I am going to have fun yelling at the 408 number if they call back becuse he said they should be able to see that it is taken care of if they are ligit.
They've been calling us in PA a few times over the last few weeks between midnight and 4:30 a.m. I finally called annoying and unlawful reporting 800-518-5507. Said the calls were coming from a one-way line. They will attempt to find another # for them. and tell them to remove us from their calling list. I'm already on the do not disturb list.
I was called by 405-295-4017 on Monday night twice (at 9:23pm and 9:24pm) and no message was left. Since my former phone had been run over by a car, I figured it was a number I didn't have in my new phone that I had in my old phone.
I called it back and the voice-recording said that th call couldn't be completed as dialed (don't you hate that?!).
I was then called again by it on Wednesday at 7:08pm, and again, no message was left.
I have no idea who this is, but it would be greatly appreciated to find out.
