Was woken up at 12:30 A.M. with a call from this number to my cell phone. A recording says my mastercard from 5th 3rd bank was suspended and to press 1 for more information. Since I don't have a credit card it was a no brainer. What astounds me is that these calls have been being made for at least four years now, seeing the original dates on this forum going back to 2010. Also, the Do Not Call registry only applies to legitimate businesses trying to sell you something. It doesn't keep scum bags from calling random numbers in the middle of the night, sadly.
Our number has been 'spoofed' - meaning that a third party has been using it without our knowledge or permission to put it on caller IDs. We have nothing to do with this call, did not make this call, and would appreciate it if people would refrain from calling back. We can only tell any who call (300 to 400 per day) the same thing.
11:23pm message was that my credit union card had unauthorized access and ad for Apostrophe IOP. Don't have a credit union card, Very annoying as my number is listed with Do Not Call Registry.
How on earth are these scammers still in operation? I called the number back before going to the web (sorry) and can not imagine how annoying it must be to be getting all these calls.
I received a call (didn't answer) on Sunday at 8:58am. I am sick of these types of unknown numbers. I am listed in the Federal Do NOT call list and yet these losers still find a way to call. Ughh!!!
