Claims I have been charged with fraudulent bank activity or fraudulent checks, I don't even have a bank account, we use prepaid debit/credit cards for all our transactions or cash. I put our numbers on the do not call list but so far it hasn't worked.
I got not 1 but 2 calls. the latest scam is the warrant just came over the fax for 2 counts of fraud. for even more impact you get the fax noise for sound effects. I have a hunch this a work from home business. oh, god , think of the pure profit they make !
I keep getting these same messages. I was upset about it i too. I was told it was from a debt from 2008 that I did on the Computer and that they would settle out of court for 345.00. I too almost sent money until I read these messages. They are very intimidating and start calling family members and friends as well trying to embarrass you into paying them. I called my local sherriff's department and I am calling the BBB tomorrow.
Supposedly a Janet Harlocker called. Threatened charges etc. Certainly has nothing to do with me. What I'm trying to figure out is what are they getting out of this? It presumably costs them something to make these calls, so what's the pay off?
It's kind of entertaining. It gives me a chance to call back and go all primeval on their sorry [***] until they hang up on me. I'm a pretty reserved person so it's fun to drop f-bombs on them without any repercussions.
Called back just now and number was not available or some such.
I received several calls from 412 346 1349 with threats about showing up at home and office to arrest me. I have contacted FCC and Attorney General's office in ref to this. This agency thst keeps calling are very shady group of people. Fraud Fraud Fraud.
