Received call Womens Cancer 412-385-2368 on June 30. Answered and nobody there. From other replies and also vague who call is from screams SCAM. Going on 5 years as a woman cancer survivor, I can say from personal experience American Cancer Society was very helpful and supportive for me throughout treatments. Offered home help, rides for appointments, discounted wigs and scarfs, gift card for mileage to longer distance appointments, very grateful to them. Would give money to American Cancer Society, not this SCAM.
Since we have the women's march today, and since time-wise October was Breast Cancer Awareness Month—a cause that important to Woman Breast Cancer Foundation and United Breast Cancer Foundation.This company is ID spoofing to make you think they're calling from a real nonprofit. They take a little donation and charge twice as much.
Received 3 phone calls from this so called Women's Cancer ?? , within 2 days. Jan. 23, 2017 8:37 AM & 1:04 PM. Does not leave message, on answering machine. Now, once again, this morning Jan. 24. 2017 at 9:54 AM, another call, BUT, from a different area code & different number!! Never been to Pittsburgh, PA and other number 215-383-0832 is coming from Philadelphia, PA. Did not leave message, once again. Have NO reason to be calling me. They are persistent. But, will not leave a message. Harassing...
She says she is from the Women's Cancer ( whatever) ,any small donation will do. I told her I give to the Relay for LIfe, don't think she liked that. Got pushy about a smaller donation, and then I said I wa on a fixed income and I was sticking with the Relay, she got snippy and I told her to have a good day and not to call me again.
Woman's cancer center they claimed to be called my grandmother tried very hard to get her to donate money even though she stated she couldn't afford it. She thankfully hung up she felt it was fishy.
Same thing as other responses. Called daily, never left message. Finally got tired of it and answered. Told them I gave to American Cancer Society and they said they were working on "different things" than ACS. I asked them to send info and they declined and I hung up.
